Wedding Day | Details

The very first thing I do when I arrive on Wedding Day is shoot the details.  These images are so important because they document the little components that make up your day.  Your something borrowed; something blue; your grandma’s pin; the perfume you love… these are all worthy of remembering!  Detail images help to tell the complete story of your day.

Details typically take about 45 minutes to photograph depending on how much you have and what light is available so make sure to leave space in your schedule for them!  I usually shoot details while you and your girls are finishing up with your make-up and hair so we’re not missing out on any portraiture time.

It is SO helpful if you can have a bag ready to roll with all of your detail items so that they stay in one place and can be transported easily.  Here is a suggested list:

  • Dress/Veil/Shoes
  • Invitation Suite
  • All jewelry (including all THREE rings)
  • Shoes
  • Bouquet
  • Garter
  • Any extra ribbon or flowers or decorations that fit your wedding theme
