Spring is my absolute favorite season.  It is so full of life and hope.  It speaks to the promise that death can not win- joy always comes in the morning.  And Spring’s very first “hey y’all!” is the Daffodil.  Strong and sturdy, it even begins blooming through the last chills of winter, reminding us all that life is about to burst forth.

I love this little flower for the warmth it brings to my spirit.  I wait for them every year and rejoice when they finally arrive.  Winter is over!  Spring is here!

This weekend Zach and I spent the whole two days not working and it was such a much needed gift.  I kept thinking what a clever idea it is to take two whole days off in a row and then I realized that most people do that every week!  Don’t get me wrong, I love the flexibility of our work lives- but we work really hard and weird hours to attain it.  Every now and then it’s nice to join the world of weekenders and especially so when there is a Daffodil festival in town.
