Dukes or Hokies?  It was the question of the night- but the Dukes definitely won out in the color scheme department!  I loved the splashes of purple and grey from Meghan’s beloved alma mater, James Madison University.  To be fair, I’m pretty sure the shoe game decided that Matt’s alma mater, Virginia Tech, had the better football team.

Competition aside, it was a day full of love and laughter!  Matt and Meghan both have the biggest hearts and it was evident in the family and friends that surrounded them.  Everyone was eager to celebrate the union of such a sweet, kind hearted couple… so much so that they just laughed when the soft rain started falling mid-ceremony.  A little rain never hurt anyone!  This was THEIR day!  The joy that these two had shone brighter than the would-have-been sun.

I love the “Shoe Game!”  They answer questions like “who will hog the covers at night?” and each one raises the shoe of the person they think will do so.  So funny to see their responses and reactions!  Such a fun dance party!!
