“My 6 year love affair with my phone is coming to an end.  It was the only way I could say goodnight to you and I am so excited to finally be able to say it to you in person.”

I think everyone teared up a little bit with Alex as he read those words in his vows to Lauren.  They dated long distance for six years because of Alex’s career in the Airforce.  I can only imagine how difficult that must have been for them.  But with their marriage vows came the promise of “where you go, I will go.”

The day could not have been more beautiful.  Sunny and breezy and the beauty of the gardens at Belmont just added to the perfection.  The love between this couple was joyfully felt by everyone in attendance.  When Alex first saw his bride walking down the aisle, there was not a dry eye to be found.  At long last they were to be united!  What makes their love so strong is not the years or the trials they’ve withstood but their foundation of hope in the Lord.  He is the covenant keeper and the third strand in their rope that can not be easily torn.

Alex and Lauren, it was a DELIGHT working with y’all!  You have such supportive friends and family who are thrilled to see you two finally together forever!  Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your celebration!
