When I arrived at Melissa’s house the day of her wedding it was still raining and I was just praying that it would stop!  When her dad answered the door he noticed the rain too and said “ah well, rain brings life and today new life begins.”  What a great perspective!  Their day was absolutely gorgeous despite the weather and there was even a little break at one point so we could get some shots outdoors!  The clouds made a stunning backdrop for this good looking couple!

Their ceremony included a full mass which I had never experienced before, so I felt honored to watch from behind my lens.  The reception was held at Stevenson Ridge in Spotsylvania County; they could not have picked a prettier venue!  I loved the rustic details and natural light that filled their dance floor.  When the first open dance song was played EVERYONE rushed to the dance floor!  I’ve never seen so many people so excited to dance… and let me tell you they are some GOOD dancers!  I loved getting to be a part of their day!
