December to Remember

It’s been a long and crazy semester y’all!  Between a full wedding season (extra full in the Fall!), traveling for InterVarsity and campus work, this semester definitely takes the cake for the busiest I’ve ever been in my life.  I can count on one hand the number of days off I’ve had since May.

I’ve been looking forward to December for a long time because with it comes a season of rest.  Real estate work slows down for Zach, my 2013 wedding season is over and my students are on Christmas break.  We love our work, but we are so thankful for slow seasons to rejuvenate us!  This year we decided to do a little rejuvenating somewhere sunny… Cabo!

I’ve never been the West Coast before, or Mexico, and I can tell you that Cabo did not disappoint!  When our plane first flew over the mountains coming out of the crystal blue ocean I knew I would spend the week mesmerized by the beauty that surrounded us!  It was such an incredible place!  We watched the sun rise as we sipped coffee on our balcony every morning.  We had time to do a lot of reflecting on this past semester as well as a lot of praying about what’s ahead.  It is such a glorious gift to getaway every now and then.  I even got a little tan- big win for a redhead!!

Here’s a little recap of our trip- usually I don’t bring my camera when I’m relaxing but this time I really felt energized getting to take pictures just for fun in a beautiful place!

Adios, Los Cabos!
