Of all the years I’ve been doing this, 2014 will go down in the books as a favorite.  I got to work with some absolutely incredibly couples, shoot TWICE in St. Thomas, travel to Italy, and become friends with the BEST clients in the world!  My work has been featured a lot this year in national blogs and I just heard back from The Knot that they will feature one my weddings in 2015!!  It’s been such an exciting year for me and I am so grateful!  I know that NONE of this would be possible without the couples that choose to let me into their lives, know their love story, and capture their memories.  It is a BIG responsibility that I take very seriously!

I also know that some dreams don’t become a reality until you take the first step to say them out-loud!  I did this in the beginning of 2014, really wanting to travel more with my clients.  The response was overwhelming as you fabulous blog readers began forming ideas of creative places (both near and far!) for your weddings, anniversary shoots, and engagement sessions.  AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!  Never before in my career have I felt so alive with creative energy than what this season brought me.

And I can not wait to continue that into 2015!  I have loved dreaming with all of my 2015 couples and want to share a few of those dreams with you!  So here is the “Bucket List” so-to-speak, of places I would LOVE to shoot in 2015:

• Pippin Hill, Charlottesville
• Veritas Winery, Charlottesville
• I would absolutely love to shoot at Trump again!
• Charleston, South Carolina (but really anywhere in SC!)
• I would totally go back to Louisiana (those trees!!) and I hear they’re in Georgia too!
• anywhere in Washington State (did someone say Tulip Festival?!)
• anywhere in Texas (boots, hats and wide open spaces, yes please!!)
• The Mill at Fine Creek, Powhatan
• Somewhere Tropical… St. Thomas is my new fave of course, I LOVED Cabo, I’m secretly hoping for Hawaii, and I’m ready to adventure anywhere else with blue water, sand and palm trees!
• Obviously, I’m down for anywhere in Italy but might die if I could shoot in Ireland, Scotland or London
