Travel Top Ten

I’ve got the travel bug!! Travel with a baby is a WHOLE different ballgame and while we spent the first months of her life traipsing all across Virginia and North Carolina, adding TWO trips to Florida, we’ve noticed that our flexibility to just crash a friend’s vacation or jet off somewhere last minute has significantly diminished. Not to be deterred, we’ve switched instead to planning ahead for amazing getaways! Here are the travel top ten we’ve been dreaming up:

Travel Top Ten | Lindsay Fauver PhotographyI want to bask in the glow of the magical light spilling over a California beach. And maybe eat some fish tacos. Yes, definitely fish tacos. I’ve been to Ventura but must. see. more!!!

We’re joining some dear friends for a little “Boston in the Fall” trip! I’ve never been that far North- any tips or must-see places?

All-Time-Bucket-List dream: high tea in London!

Secondary All-Time-Bucket-List-Dream: have a pint in Ireland. I betcha couldn’t tell from my red hair and freckles that I’m a liiiittle bit Irish!

Italy, still always on my heart. We’ve explored Venice, Rome, Florence, Siena, and Chianti. Next up, I want to cruise around the Cinque Terre and Sicily!

EVERYONE I know has been to Hilton Head and I’m dying to experience that or really any of the Southern beaches!

We’re booked to float in our favorite Infiniti pool in St. Thomas in September for our anniversary, but I’m scared of Zika! Soooo, has anyone been to Bermuda?!

I want to stuff my face (admittedly, AGAIN) in New Orleans.

Washington state has been calling my name ever since I fell for its wine. But I need to figure out when I can catch the sunny days, I don’t know if I can hang with all that rain. Also, when do the flowers bloom there? Because I need to run through those fields!

One day I’ll go back to the front porches and sweet tea in Charleston, Rainbow Row, The Battery, maybe even Folly Beach!

We’re just over here dreaming and scheming. Let me know if you have tips or suggestions for any of these places!! Excited to hear where YOU’RE headed this year! Bon Voyage!

What a great travel list and I hope you get to go to all of those places!

  2. You have to do the Amalfi Coast if you return to Italy! You must!

  3. We just went to Hilton Head and it was beautiful; I even found a colony of live sand dollars!

  4. Susan Patriquin says:

I just moved to Seattle, and summer is definitely when you want to be here! It’s sunny and 75 a lot of the days. You’ll want to head out to the San Juan islands, Bainbridge Island of just hang out in Seattle! There’s so much to do, but I definitely recommend coming in the summer!
