Suzy and I became friends Freshman year at CNU in the Santoro residence halls.  She lived a few halls down from me and we quickly discovered a shared affinity for coffee, silly late night laughter and a love for picking CNU’s flowers.  When I needed to escape that year I knew I could always knock on Suzy and Dani’s door.  I’m pretty sure it was Dani who photographed us posing to spell out the word “Oklahoma” late one night when we all had the song stuck in our head!  It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Suzy was the first one of us to start seriously dating and the first to get married!  She was engaged when she asked me to go to the mall with her to get her ring cleaned and proceeded to report back to Zach all of my comments about the pretty engagement rings on display and what I would want one day.  Zach and I were married 4 months after I stood with Suzy on her wedding day.

It is such a blessing in my life to have a friend in Suzy.  She’s one of THOSE friends that you can either laugh hysterically with or cry your eyes out with and either way you end up leaving refreshed.

Suz, it’s been such a joy getting to live life with you for the past ten years!!  I love that we get to walk together through all these life stages and that we’re just a short drive away from each other in Newport News (who knew we’d end up living in houses HERE?!)!  I’m so excited to get to watch you and walk with you as you learn to be a Mama!!  And Chris, you are the perfect match for Suzy.  You take care of her so well and you’re going to be a great Dad!

I love this one… so soft and sweet.  Seriously?!  Y’all are so adorable!!FAVORITE!!!!  This needs to be hanging somewhere in your house, in my humble opinion of course 🙂
