When Meg said she wanted their engagement photos to be around Shockoe Bottom, I was simultaneously excited and terrified!  It’s a CITY!  I’m used to fields and trees!  But I’m a city girl now, ha, or at least for the past three weeks, so I was really excited for the challenge of shooting in a new location!  And let me tell you, “the bottom” did not disappoint.

These two glowed against the structural backdrops of the city: walking down alley’s, dancing in front of restaurants and even hopping up on a platform to kiss while the train whizzed past.  I had SUCH a fun time photographing John-Mark and Meg, who are always laughing!  Their love is strong, content, and beautiful.

To the future Walkers, Zach and I are SO excited for you and we’re grateful to be learning this city with such great friends!
