They met in college because of a lost phone. It’s an adorable story so I’ll let Melissa tell you herself:
“John David and I met my first week of college at ODU. He was visiting friends who went to ODU. A few of my friends and I ended up at a house across campus where a group of people were hanging out. We needed a ride back to our dorm room and JD offered to take us. My suite mate Sadie realized her phone was missing when we got back. I called it over and over and it wasn’t until the next day that someone answered. It was JD. Sadie left her phone in his jeep. I met up with him that afternoon and get her phone for her. He must have saved my number because he called me the next day and asked if I wanted to go to dinner. I agreed and we had our first date that night. After that we went to the beach together with a group of friends and from then on we were inseparable… we have had our ups and downs, as everyone has, but our love has only grown stronger as time goes on. He is my rock and has always kept me grounded. I am so excited to be his wife and after 7 years together, finally turn the page in a new chapter of our lives together!”
Congratulations y’all!!
