2016 Behind The Scenes

Remember that time the bride caught her veil after a gust of wind knocked it out of her hair?! Or the time I almost got a ticket shooting Bride & Groom portraits by the River? (We’ll forgive the bus driver that used half our portrait time getting lost and then left me totally stranded!). Yes, 2016 is another one “for the books!”

It also included a bride and a horse, a limo ride around DC and literally 9 minutes at the Lincoln Memorial, a sudden ceremony wind storm, and some very creative redecorating.

These things are all part of what makes me love my job so very much. Not only do I get to capture beauty and celebrate generously with incredible couples in the midst of their most significant moments, I also get to laugh with them, to scramble alongside them, to serve them, and befriend them. What a joy it is to have these fun memories to share. Thanks for an amazing year, 2016!!

Sometimes curtains need to be held back by lamps.

We literally transformed the left red carpet cluttered glow to the clean beauty of the right… redecorating SKILLS!

We ALL almost blew away, but we made it!
I do work at receptions too…

Even my lens bag needs to be “all purpose” sometimes!
This is what keeps my local massage place in business…

I love my job so much!
