Mark & Colleen | Norfolk Engagement Photograper

Mark and I had been secretly chatting for a few weeks. He knew he was getting closer to popping the question but he didn’t know exactly how it would all go down. It had to be perfect.

And it was. Colleen and I are sorority sisters and InterVarsity colleagues so it was such a joy for me to keep the secret that Mark was planning to propose at Rockbridge- where Colleen and I were serving and rooming together for the week! I was so honored to be able to help plan the proposal (along with special agent Thurston Benns), photograph it, and rejoice with Colleen afterwards!

We got to do the engagement session in front of, and around the apartment where Colleen and Mark will live! I love getting to capture people in their most meaningful places!

Mark and Colleen, you two were meant for each other. Mark, the way you love Colleen makes me see a side of her that I always knew existed, only now it’s enhanced. You both bring out the best in each other and it’s an incredible thing to behold! I can’t wait for December!!

  2. Oh my goodness…I thought these two looked familiar! I just shot his sister’s wedding last month! What a small world. I love this session, so beautiful and their love for eachother shines radiant! Wonderful!

Absolutely beautiful!!! Love their outfit changes!! So in love!

  4. I love how Rising Tide brings together people with so many unknown similarities! I was a part of Greek InterVarsity during my time in college (at UPenn). These are such gorgeous photos – you do a great job of capturing the spirit of the couple!
