Keith and Regan have the kind of romance of which the story books are made. Keith’s brother, Scott, is married to Regan’s childhood best friend, Dottie. Regan and Keith initially met as members of Scott and Dottie’s bridal party 15 years ago but the wedding was the extent of their relationship. Four years ago, Regan visited Charleston to help Dottie and Scott after they had twins and ended up at the Zac Brown Music Festival with a group of their friends, including Keith. At the after party, Keith was the last one to leave and Dottie mentioned it was odd, because “he never closes it down.” Keith called Regan the next day to see if she wanted to go for a boat ride and the rest is history!
The minister said, “how two country girls from Bennettsville ended up with two Charleston ‘city boys’ is a miracle!” And when asked who gives Regan, her brother started what the guests finished, “we all do!” The day was full of small charming moments like that. Keith mentioned that Seabrook Island was the only place that ever really felt like home to him, and their marriage beginning there was a beautiful gift to all who were present. The slight breeze, the lack of no-see-ums, the cotton and peonies in Regan’s bouquet, the joy of friends and family as they celebrated this marriage; all of it was storybook perfect.
